Surgery for short penis string
In some men, the small string (frenulum) located on the underside of the penis, between the head and the shaft, may be too short. This condition may be congenital or caused by scar tissue.
A short cord can cause pain during intercourse, minor bleeding, the cord may rupture, or you may experience curvature during erection.
This affects approximately 10% of uncircumcised men.
The treatment involves a minor surgical procedure to lengthen the ligament. The operation is usually performed under local anesthesia.
